Crisp Martini

Gin, St-Germain, and fresh lemon, shaken, with an ounce of Sauvignon Blanc floated on top. The wine is the point: it makes the drink taste cold.

Two pale Crisp Martinis in stemmed glasses on a table scattered with jigsaw puzzle pieces

Method

  1. Add the gin, St-Germain, and lemon juice to a shaker with ice and shake until cold.

  2. Strain into a chilled glass.

  3. Pour the Sauvignon Blanc slowly over the back of a spoon so it sits on top.

Notes from the line

Use a Sauvignon Blanc you would drink on its own. A grassy, high-acid one is best.
