Bourbon, fresh apple juice, cinnamon syrup, lemon, and a dash of aromatic bitters. An autumn drink that goes sweet fast, so pour the bourbon heavy and the syrup light.

Two amber Fall From the Tree cocktails in cut-crystal rocks glasses beside small pumpkins

Method

  1. Add the bourbon, apple juice, cinnamon syrup, lemon juice, and bitters to a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake until cold and strain into a glass.

Notes from the line

As written it runs sweet. A heavier bourbon pour and a lighter hand with the cinnamon syrup fix it.

Fresh, cloudy apple juice matters. The clear shelf-stable kind just adds sugar.
